recently when i start up the stang, (mainly when cold) the idle jumps way up to 2000rpms for like 30-45 secs, how can i fix this.. its a 5.0 with an h-pipe and k&n
not to be rude, but sounds like a normal car to me, all 3 of my mustangs do it, and so does the burb we have, when its cold out theres a sensor that tells the car to run rich, or something, and to bring the rpm's up also to heat up the engine quicker to operating temperature, im almost positive thats what it is, i beleive its sort of the same with carbed engines also, only they have something on the carb with a spring attatched that expands when it is colder, and contrracts once its hot, so that it is at the right temperature at idle when cold. so thats what i think
