Default Bad Ball Joint

I'm wandering what are the signs of a ball joint going bad ?

Check for exsessive up and down movement(more than 1/4 in of play). Make sure you remove the load from the ball joints

Appreciate that, Ive also noticed that it looks like the grease is leaking out in that area.

In my case when the wheel falls sideways and
is only held on by the steering rod.
