i heard a light knock on my gt yesterday, took it to ford today and was told i broke a piston, warrenty is out how expensive should the work and labor be?

not shure, depends on what youy got, was you running nos are anythings of that sort? what kinda modifications do you have, i assume u have a 01gt b/c of your name right?

You broke a piston eh? Dunno how much it would cost to get fixed but i suggest this as an opportunity to get some forged internals lol

That advance timing is more than likely what caused it. If you do get it fixed, i recommend getting it tuned by a true professional

a tech at ford told my it would be just as inexpensive to buy a reconditioned engine from ford 4000 $ but that is a little expensive if you know what i mean

Take it away from the dealer, that's what'll cost half a million bucks for a new engine.

Shop around for short blocks, they can be had for semi-cheap. Now is the time to swap cams or port your heads too...
