Default Headrest removal

I have a 2003 V-6 Mustang. I bought seat covers for it, but the instructions say to remove the headrests first. Anyone out there know how the hell to do that? Without breaking it? I went to 2 dealerships and no one there knew how. Any responses would be appreciated. Thanks,

Jim

1. Lift headrest and headrest support bars trim all the way up.
2. Insert wood stick (or slim jim) down the front side of the headrest bar. Push stick down as far as possible . When the stick is beneath the headrest trim piece, and push headrest all of the way down.
3. Remove headrest
This is what you need to do to remove it on 1999 and up to install the Lightbar.
I figure it would be the same for you

ALSO

ORIGINAL: raz54

What I just did was straightened out a clothes hanger and slid it down the slot in the front of the support bar and when it stopped you push down on the headrest and wire together then slide the headrest right off. Real easy once you know how..lol
