Lowering kit, and isolator decison
I was thinking about getting either of these kit's, but I read on many posts that using new "Isolators" causes a loss of 1/4". So i was looking at the pro kit, and I'd be only dropping to about 1" front, and 1 1/4" rear (with new isolators), and maybe 1 1/4" front 1 1/2" (which are the kits spec.)with oldisolators. So having these would screw up the look I'm after. I'd rather have new isolatorsso I don't get noise, or clunking (butI might be able to get by with theold isolators!?) So what's the deal with these springs.....I need to know the difference in ride/handling/looks. I figured the Sportline drops lower so having new isolators would lift it up to make up some of the difference...should I do that instead? I'm not sure if that's how it even works...so I need advice here. Price on both are about the same where i'm looking. I'm just confused atm.

I also have the same type question, I want to stiffen up the suspension but I don't want to drop it so it looks like a ricer. I have a 94 Convert. and my rear sags down on launches which makes me loose a lot of intial launch. some people have told me just to go with a tighter rear spring. Any feedback would help us both.
stock isolators are fine, i didnt change mine when i did the sportlines,... also, lowering your mustang doesnt make it look ricer, it makes it not look like offroad machine, but if you like that look you can find stiffer springs, look around.
I heard going to far with the drop makes you have to start changing out parts on the vehicle (like the spindle and what not?). So your saying a sportline kit with old isolators (that are probaly worn) would be fine? I have stock rims, and tires btw, and will continue to use them.
something to think about
when you start with around 4 inches of travel and you take away
1 1/2 to 2 inches that does not leave much travel, unless you live on
very smooth streets your car will ride like crap as it will bottom over
anything , the eibach spring rates are too soft with that short of travel
think the best bang for the buck is to use mach 1 or bullitt springs on
your car, i just put a set of mach 1's on a 93 we are building and so far those are better then anything i have ever had on a fox and my 82 gt has had lots of different ones and still can't find any i think are any good including eibach's+motor sports b's + coilovers + more , my 82 i plan on installing some bullitts on it next , but if you go with short
springs plan to upgrade struts/shocks as stockers won't get the job done.......................
