Take it off and clean it with electrical contact cleaner.

I took the air hose off, and disconnected the whole
sensor. I cleaned the outside with carb cleaner and
a rag. I sprayed the inside venturi with carb spray.
I was carefull not to touch the two sensor tips because
I was not sure how delicate they were.
After reassembly The 89 ran cold like a top.

Isopropyl alcohol will also work. Carb cleaner is a little aggressive.
