Default 3M Rubberized Undercoating

Has anyone ever used this stuff for sound deadener?? I was wondering if it would cure the trunk rattle that comes from my subs.....

i use dynamat to cure the rattle. if the 3M stuff is like dynamat then it should work.

i Have it worked pretty decent. I think i didlike 3 coats or so.
They do make spray on sound deadening. You should be able to pick it up at Autozone, Oreilly's etc...

I've used it and let me give you some advise: get the professional stuff! The cheaper cans don't dry completely so if you spray it under carpet, the carpet will stick to it, especially in the summer heat. I sprayed the whole trunk in my first car with this stuff everywhere I couldn't get dynamat. I reached under the carpet a few months later to change a tail light bulb and my hand came out black as tar. It does reduce rattles though, I even spray the back of my license plate to reduce rattles back there too.

so are you saying get padding or will the good spray work....cuz the 3m stuff dried pretty good on my 5.0....i sprayed the fenderwells on it and it looks great

get the GOOD spray stuff and there will be no worrys!
The rubberized stuff i used work fine, dried all the way and stopped the rattleing.

+1, the good spray stuff is what I was talking about, just don't get cheap and buy those $3 cans of rubberized undercoating.
