well this 3m is like 6 bucks a can so it should be pretty good and no im not getting padding its too high...im workin on my motor

actually, search for "high temp mastic" I think that's what it's called if you really need the dynamat in some places. it's identical down to the blue backing, but doesn't have the "dynamat" logo on it and is about 1/4 the price. I got a box from Parts Express for around $20 when an equivalent box of dynamat is around $80
