Codes on fuses
I'm still trying to locate the parasitic drain on my '99 GT.
What do these two acronyms stand for?
PCM
GEM
And I know that the fuse showing the drain is F, fuse position I/P, 40 amps, and circuits protected are: Instrument cluster and PCM.
How do I know which fuses under the dash are connected to this fuse under the hood? I want to start pulling them to see what happens.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I refuse to pay $90/hour for some grease monkey to do the same thing that this blonde monkey can do

PCM is the power control module, which is the computer.
Still not sure what the GEM is.
I still don't know how the fuses under the dash are connected to the fuses under the hood. I'll start pulling fuses under the dash and test.
If anyone out there in Mustang Land has ever had a problem with the PCM, please respond. I'd like to know if there is a relay and if it could be drawing extra current when the battery is reconnected.

This is for an explorer, but it might help. Read the last reply

Just curious, but did you try and pull any codes from the computer? Might tell you something. Not up on computer controlled cars, but you can usually get it done for free at most parts stores..
I am doing the instrument cluster diagnostics, and so far the numbers for the voltage on the battery have gone from 148 to 144 to 147 over a period of 5 days, which is in the normal range. Inconsistent to say the least.
And there are no DCT warnings, everything else checks out okay.
