CLUTCH REPLACEMENT

CLUTCH REPLACEMENT
I recently had my clutch replaced.
My pedal is about 2"higher thanthe brake pedal.
When the clutch is new, isn't the pedal height
supposed to be same as the brake pedal?
Also, when I shift into 5th gear at 70-75mph at
approx. 3000rpm, the gears grind.
This makes me think the clutch was not adjusted
properly, when installed.
Is this correct?

RE: CLUTCH REPLACEMENT
There is a lot of fluid on the drive shaft and around the (transmission) rear seal.
Is it common practice to pull the output shaft from the tranny rather than disconnect
the drive shaft at the u-joint? If the fluid that was spilled/lost is not replaced and the
rear seal is leaking, could that cause this (grind) problem?
I guess I will change the seal and fluid tomorrow.
My shifter is squeaking too for some reason.
