Default Low end power.

I'm looking to get some more power in lower RPMs, any suggestions?

The best way for you to make more low end ower is to do a smaller pulley on your series 4. The smaller pulley not only net you more boost, but the boost will come in sooner, thus giving you more low end.

will a gear swap be something i can actually see on a dyno graph?
MD, have you had your car dynoed since you put in the 3.73s?

no dyno, Im sure the dyno would show a slight increase in hp though as the larger (num) gear you go will show lower dyno #'s. So, you will see it if you get gears, but the dyno won't be eye pleasing. On the otherhand, the SOTP feel will be. Let me tell you, words cannot describe how each gear will feel now. Beleive me, its VERY noticable - made me love my car again when I did the 4.10's back in the day. Most noticable mod I did other than the blower. More noticable than the cams, longtubes, prochamber, and Magnaflow exhaust put together [sm=smiley20.gif]

I think MD's car has 4.10's, but yes, on the dyno you will see an improvment with shorter gears. Do you have stock 3.27's or did your car come with the 3.55 upgrade? If you have 3.27's and go to 3.73's, you will see some low end improvment. The biggest improvment would be running a smaller pulley, though.

Ok pulley questions:
What size/make of pulley do you recommend?
I was looking at a 2.97 that Chicane sells...
How hard is it to put on? Do I need a new belt? Will my belt slip?
Thanks,
FS

With your stock bottom end, you won't want to run a lot more boost, but you can run 10-11 psi with a good tune. The 2.97 that chicane sells should put you at about 10 psi. It is really easy to put on, you shouldnot need a new belt, and it shouldn't slip. -But, you will need a way to make your tune a little richer. If you did gears + a pulley your bottom end will SIGNIFICANTLY improve.

Thanks for the info, Yeah, I think i'll go with the chicane pulley.
I have FRPP 3.73s sitting in my trunk right now waiting to be installed in the spring.
