Ive got VT stage 1's in right now. Idle is mildly choppy - idles around 800 rpm. don't make as much power as the stock cams until I get to about 2500 rpm. Power is very poor below 1500 rpm but I've got a stick so Im never around there anyways. I don't know where you auto guys stall at with the stock converter.

Well good news for me, my car is manual so Im not really ever below 1500 RPMs neither. Looks like I will purchase the Stage 1 Cams. I found them for 569.00. Sound about right? Also is this a self install or something that needs to be taken in? If it is a self install approx. how many hours?

can be done in a half a day to a day if you've never done it before. great thing about the 1's is that you don't need to do valve springs. may I suggest you get your cams from www.modularpowerhouse.com - they had them for sale for $525 at one point don't know what their price is right now.
