Default Switch in center console

i have a 96 mustang GT, I am curious whats the switch in the center console, I have no clue what it does. I was thinkin traction contol???

probably foglights. Thats what is is on my 95 gt, i dont know if the lay out is the same for the 96 or not but i have my coin holderting and then my switch for fog lights, Do you have a pic of it?

Dont use it unless nobody is in front of you it may be the nitro button .Do you have a book on the car it should be in it.

yeah it is prob foglights if you have a gt. if you have a v6 w/o foglights it would be a coin slot. i have a fog light switch, and a vert top switch where the other coin holder would be.

According to the Mustang manual for my 95 GT, it is fog lamps. Next to it is a coin slot. Those are both just to the left of the e-brake.

If you have a convertible, or removable hard top, it's a latch release to open the top up.

Ironically.. mine dont either. It seems when I bought the car, the previous owner didnt take good care of 'em. The driver side fog lamp casing was cracked and let water leak in.. causing the bulb to explode.

I've just recently purchased new fog lamps for both sides, and new bulbs.


Oh, and in case you're not aware. The fog lamps only operate when the car's main headlights are turned on.
It seems somehow their wired together.
