Well the thing is I have no idea how to do one I have never installed one myself, my tranny has over 160,000 k on it so I am going to need a rebiuld anyways so when I am going to be spending 1000 on a rebiuld what is another 150 bucks. I am going to drop the tranny and take the whole thing in get it rebiult with a shift kit, converter and new bands.

why not check out www.lentechautomatics.com before you do anything else with your tranny. these guys developed the first beefed up AOD trannys and really know their stuff and have good prices and dyno every tranny before it's shipped to make sure it's working to their specs. you might save some bucks by check them out first and get a package deal with a rebuilt tranny with shift kit and converter all combined for a good price.
