Default PLEASE HELP FAILED EMISSIONS

OK SO I FAILED EMISSIONS
LETS BEGIN WITH MY STATES LIMITS
HC 100 CO .32 NOX 700

FIRST RUN I GOT IN ORDER AS ABOVE
188 .54 276

THEY TOLD ME I NEEDED NEW O2 SENSORS,SO HAD THEM REPLACED
THESE ARE MY READINGS AFTER O2'S
481 1.06 0
AS YOU CAN SEE THEY GOT WORSE

SOON AFTER I REPLACED THE DIST,WIRES,PLUGS,AIR FILTER,OIL SET TIMING RESET COMPUTER ETC

CAR IS PRETTY MUCH STOCK BUT I DID NOTICE I AM MISSING THE EMISSIONS TUBING FROM THE CENTER OF THE CAT PIPE ITS PLUGGED WITH A SCREW.


ANY SUGGESTION WOULD BE APPRECIATED,HOW TO FIX,WHAT MAY BE CAUSING THIS ETC.

OH AND THIS IS A 1988 GT 5.0 5SPD WITH 109K ORIG MILES
I ALSO CHANGED THE TPS AND SET IT TO .99 (SAYS TO SET .97-.99

try diconnecting the pill for the timing advance. Iv'e got a few cars through emissions that way.
and as for the cat. some cats are universal and have the secondary air injection port. but If you car has an air pump which i think it should. there should be a tube that runs from the air pump to thecat. which reduces emmisions.

THANKS BRO,YEAH THAT TUBE IS MISSING i SHOULD PROB ORDER ONE HUH..AND FOR THE "PILL" YOU MEAN THE LITTLE PIECE YOU DISCONNECT BEFORE DOING THE TIMING AND RESETTING THE COMPUTER? TAKE IT OUT AND LEAVE IT OUT FOR EMISSIONS TESTING?

lol yeah definatly hook that tube back up. and go see if you pass which you probably will when thats hooked back up.. if not remove the pill and try again. and your right its the chip you disconnect for setting the base timing. GOOD LUCK

thanks bro I need all the luck I can get 3 times failed got me wanting to sell her any idea as to why the car had better readings before I replaced the o2's? anything else I should check for?

No you did all the basic's plugs wires cap rotor and set the timing. once you reconnect the air tube you should be fine and as for the readings being higher. when you reset the computer it takes time for it to relearn itself again and that may be the reason for the higher readings. Also its a good idea to show up with the car fully warmed up.

I do but when i get there there is always a 30 min wait the 1st test i took the car for a nice 30 mile blast and reved the engine at 3500 for a good minute or 2 and then took it,car sat for like 10 mins before being tested,how long does it take to relearn itself usually? My temp tag expirered so I may get another one and try these things

It shouldnt take too long to reset. Iimagine by now it should be fine. you should be ok once the tube it hooked up as long as the air pump is actually working though.
