Ebay is the Home Depot of car parts, you think it's the same but it's really not...

I know a guy who tries to pawn those things off on people, he said he just puts a resistor across a wire and it's supposed to do that... I'd tend to think he's an idiot though

Funny but true. You really have to watch what you buy on ebay. With car parts make sure it is new and a name brand.

Your car has a sensor on the Air Intake, this sensor is basically a variable resistor. Your car decides how much fuel to feed depending on what the value of this variable resistor is. What they sell on Ebay is a fixed resistor that you would install in place of your variable one, it's resistance is fixed at the extreme that makes your car feed extra fuel that at normal occasions. It Will make a difference...but I wouldn't suggest having one on for long periods of time as it can cause damage. This part can be purchased at your local radioshack, but the value of resistor that you need depends on the year mustang you have. These parts have a value of about 5 cents.

The first thing, well, that makes no sense to me whatsoever.
I think that the CAI may be a good deal. It's a fenderwell setup and probably much better than stock. If you dont care about looks, you could add a little insulation to get the most out of it.

Very true a cold air intake is a cold air intake it doesnt matter who makes it.....One of my friends has a three inch exhaust pipe bent into the fender and it got three tenths from it....So dont worry
