Default 1964 289ci 4.7 Problem

Hello.

I will try to explain the problem in English, but the problem is, that my English is not that good.

So, the problem I got with the eginge (1964, 289ci, 4.7l, V8) is, if I will check the oil level with the dipstick, the oil that is on that dipstick is kinda like "milky" (bit like whithe). Also, if I gona run the engine for about 3 or more minutes the grommet of the valve breather got this "milky" oil too.

Hopefully you do understand what I mean!

Thanks for answers

Christian

Welcome to the board. The problem you are describing sounds like you have water in the oil. You could have a head gasket blown. I would investiage this problem before you drive her any more, you could damage the engine.

Might also be the intake gasket leaking on the underside. I'd pull the spark plugs 1st to see if there are any fouled ones...

Hello.

I will check this by Tuesday evening and will tell you what the problem is.

Is there no other possibility of a problem?

Thanks

Christian

Worst case would be a cracked block or cylinder head.

I dont know what it would be if everything you check was ok, you are definitly getting water in the oil from somewhere.

The engine was checked in a garage.

Next week I will check it once again by myself.
