Default Rear end leak?

Hi. I have an oil leak of some kind that appears to be just in front of the rear diff. There is some oil on the back of the mufflers and up on the floor of the car. It does appear that there is a brake line running through there, however I don't seem to have lost any. I posted a couple of pics from reaching under my car. They aren't the greatest but any opinions on this would be great. My car is an '02 GT, 5 spd. Thanks,

Ha, I had this same problem on my 02 GT. It was some rubber that was letting out the oil from either the group or gearbox, I cant recall exactly. Would have been covered back then by Ford but it was a cheap fix. Get it check asap cause once you run of it, it will crack. Its difficult to spot since when you move it spreads all over, needs to be lifted and cleaned. I think it only leaked when running. Plus it smelled bad when burning on exhaust pipe. Have not had a prob since they replaced it. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice. I'm thinking it might be the pinion seal but I'm alittle surprised the oil would travel forward up to the mufflers. I don't see any coming from the transmission. Anyways, like you said, I'll have to get it on the hoist and get it checked.
