Low Battery Voltage
I recently noticed that my battery voltage was lower than it has been for the past year. Sure enough, the little battery light on the dash lit up the same day. Within a few days, my car would die at idle after a few minutes. Eventually, while driving,my gauges all dropped down tozero, as if the car was off.My radio shut off, and headlights down to nothing more than the brightenss of a cell phone. After getting the car home safely that night with the dim lights and everything, it wouldn't start the following morning. I figured the battery was junk. It looks like an older battery, and it's been in the car since i bought it, so I went out and bought a new one. Put the new one in today and the car started fine, but the voltage is still very low, and the battery light is still on. Does this mean the problem is my alternator? Or do I just need to reset some setting or what?
Is your crank pulley UD? If so then your alt might be spinning to slowly to charge..... Other than that yeah its probably on its way out. Get a new one, maybe with more amps. Like a 130 amp.

Did you get a new alternator too? If you're driving and the lights are dim it's usually the alt. Battery has nothing to do with the lights unless the alternator isnt working.
