Just curious as to which brand of street tire (not DRs or slicks) is the best at the drag strip? The reason I ask is b/c I want to go as far into the 12s as possible on street tires or tires that I would use all the time and I dont plan on using DRs.

Also would it be possible to mount a mickey thompson front runner on my spare's rim and be safe at the track? Im a college kid and I would rather not buy the cheap old summit rims b/c they are still heavy as a muthafuker. Eventually im going with Bogarts but not right now. So I know its ghetto but would that work or is the rim not made to take that abuse?
