Default E-Brake failure.....HELP

My E-brake is failing bad at its job. It wont hold my car at all when I put it up. In fact, the whole E-brake unit in the inside of the car where you wrap your hand around the lever is loose and not attached. Basically, it is done for.....trash. How much for a new one installed at somewhere like a Ford dealership or something cheaper for the money.

https://fordparts.com/oe_parts_catalog.html

that part is $50 plus shipping through ford parts.com and as long as you have basic tools you should be able to do it yourself. If you went to the shop im sure they'll charge you from 70-90- for the part and atleast and hour and a half to install it. labor rate by me is around $90 so your probably looking at $200 - 250 for a shop to install it for you.

Check to see if its recalled. I think 99- mid01 stangs have recalled e-brakes.
