I have 3.73 gears in my car. I just swapped out the old 3.27 speedo gear for the new 3.73 speedo gear.

With old (19 tooth) 3.27 speedo gear:
3rd@2k rpm = 35mph
4th@2k rpm = 45mph
5th@2k rpm = 65mph

With new (21 tooth) 3.73 speedo gear:
3rd@2k rpm = 29mph
4th@2k rpm = 39mph
5th@2k rpm = 59mph

Is that now correct/accurate/sound right? I thought there would be more of a difference than 6mph between a 3.27 and 3.73 gear ratio swap.

 

Nope, that sounds about right. How do you like the new gears? I went from 3.55 to 4.56 on my truck and fell in love with my 360 all over again

 

They came in the car when I got it....so I really can't compare them to the factory 3.27 ones
