Default power windows

I have a 2000 Mustang V-6 and the drivers side window just stopped working today...on the bright side at least it stopped working in the up position. I bought the car used a couple of months ago. Still lots of life left in motor however it needs some tlc on the interior and body work.

When I push the button "down" I can hear it click just like always but nothing happens, no sound, no movement, no nothing.

The motor is probably toast, I looked up the price for the motor and it seems fairly cheap, soI took the door panel off and now I'm not sure what to do. It looks like there are two or three bolts that hold the motor in place. Does anybody have any idea how to replace the motor?

If you do could you please post the steps on how to do it??? I'm fairly new at this hands on do it yourself stuff, I usually just take it to the mechanic and have them do it. But where is the fun and satisfaction if you don't try doing it yourself?

I could also use some help in trying to figure out what all the person who owned the car before me did to this engine. It has the wierd looking crankshaft pully, it has blue colored spark plug wires, it has what I think is called a "cold air intake": it just has the air filter hanging out at the end of this silver tube (pretty technical descprition huh?) no cover. It also has dual exhaust. There is this thick red cable that comes off the battery and goes into the firewall, I'm thinking it was for some thumping sound system because there are about three or four other wires that lead into the trunk underneath the carpet.

One more thing...right below the stereo there is an on/off type switch next to a button, it looks like you would push and hold down, not an on/off type.

If somebody wants to help me identify these things I'll take some pic and try and post them.

thanks
