That ok. It's a likely mistake. The tire gap makes the tires look like 14" tires or something doesn't it? You can't even tell that they are 17" by 245 at 45 aspect ratio.

Go to the Ford dealership and ask them why. If you have the warranty then they should check it out for you. Thats what I'd do.

Looking at an '04 and '03 at work parking lot. They have pretty much gap, but not quite as pronounced as mine.

maybee its just how the picture is (up close) do you have any other pics further back?

p.s. i sent you a pm about your midpipe and maybee you would be interested in eibach sportline springs. i think they drop it the most.

I want to post a couple more pics now that I have cleaned the car up. I'll post them and it is true that the pic I posted does really ennunciate the tire gap nonetheless if you saw me on the street you would still notice it is > than most I think. I am really thinking hard about those sportlines.

I'd post one tongith but I just changed my oil and rotated the tires tonight and you know that can set your suspension even a tad higher until you drive it a bit. Can you imagine my car sitting even higher than the pic above?

Here you go. Here is my '02 4X4 GT in the driveway after a hard rush hour run.
Wheel gap is a little shadoy and I think *** scaled down the picture quality but you can still see room for a few good size fists in there.
