Window wont go up!
So my window wont go up all of a sudden and is stuck down. when i press the up botton it doesn't click, but it clicks when i press the down botton. So i'm trying to decide if it's just the relay, or the actual motor? anyone way to know for sure without doing a hit and miss?

RE: Window wont go up!
It is most likely a ground connection or the
limiter switch on the window riser.
I have found that if you apply the UP
button at the same time beating the hell
of the door panel where the motor is located
you can get the motor to activate. Beat it
with your hand.
From then on you will always have the possibility
of locking out the window if you send it
ALL THE WAY DOWN. A fix is to replace the window
lifter or repair it. My 89 is still working after 3 years
by not putting it down all the way.

RE: Window wont go up!
That happened to my brother's '92 Camaro. I'm not sure about the not clicking on the up, but it wouldn't go up, and if you put it down all the way it wouldn't go back up.
It ended up being the part where the window motor mounted to the window. We had to take off the door panel and put it back on every time you put it all the way down.
I don't remember how much it cost him to get it actually fixed.
But, I wouldn't do what these other people are saying... I wouldn't want to "beat the crap" out of my door to raise the window or not be able to put it all the way down. I'd want it fixed. But htat's just me.
