I figure this will help alot of people out that are searching to find the best first mod for their mustang (or most any car for that matter). Alot of them will be toss-ups or close calls, but you can only chose one! Plus it will be interesting to see what we all think and why! Let's liven up these forums and get some new threads going! Im not including the silencer freebie, since that doesnt cost money and everyone (probably) does that before anything anyways.</P>

I vote for the cat-back exhaust, although gears would give better performance. A mustang just isn't a mustang unless it sounds MEAN!

 

I agree with the exhaust, BUT that would be second on my list as gears are the best "I think" just my opinion...

 

gears flat out. you don't need sound, stock sounds pretty good imo. not to mention cutouts are the smartest way to go. costs less than a catback for an electric oneand its legal if im not mistaken...though i could be.</P>

 

i am going to say cat-back system because it is the cool thing to do. but should be done along with the CAI.

 

I'm going with gears. You'll only go so fast with the stockers with all the money you invest in mods, you'll never see the full potential of them without the correct gear ratio.</P>


I would of chosen headers &amp; cat-back if it were listed, as a free flowing exhaust would be the best first mod to do, as it opens the doors for CAI, ram air, forced induction...etc</P>
