what?! get that thing welded! do you always want to be under there tightening that shet up? are you getting a new midpipe, or just a dual exhaust cat back?? i dont know how the v6 exhaust systems work, but if your not touching the midpipe, i would deffinately have the cat back welded together. i mean still keep your ball flange connection to your midpipe, but weld the pipes in your cat back together for god sakes...

Uh...no. It won't come loose, and it it ever manages to come loose, it takes 10 seconds and locking washers to prevent it from ever happening again. I don't know why so many people think it's a good idea to weld exhaust. If anything, it's harder to stop and find leaks with a welded exhaust, not to mention it doesn't look clean and it looks hacked up.

didnt get a mid pipe, just the v6 cat back. i know it would have been better to get an o/r X pipe and the magnapaks for the gt but thats too much money for how i drive. ill only go to the strip occasionally. i just wanted somehting that sounds way meaner (deeper) than the stocker v6 exhaust, looks real nice, and some more hp as well.
