wiring new head unit
i have a 99 mustang no premium audio. i just bought a tube and a buddy gave me his old head unit. i went to best buy got the wiring harness (trying to go the easy way). The tube works but i can't get the factory speakers to work now. The harness came with an eight prong connector for the speakersand there is only one eight prong plug behind the head unit. im pretty sure everything is hooked up right coming out of the deck. i pulled the wires back on that eight prong connector andnone them are the same colors that are hooked up the the speakers. i got to poken around and cant findthewires coming out of the speakers anywhere behind the head unit. HELP!!!

RE: wiring new head unit
Make sure you blue wire is hooked up man that is your remote wire to your amp or sometimes in the diffrent connectors could also be a blue wire with a white stripe down the middle. if not check your speaker wires making sure one did not come loose or not off one of the speakers. and also im not sure if the mustangs have a stock amp for the speakers but if there is man you have to bypass that amp to put your aftermarket in there is a connector you connect to one end then to the other back into the factory amp but that is only if you have a factory amp iam not sure if you do or not though. good luck though with it man .
