88 5.0 wont start
I would start by removing each cable from the battery
to the solenoid and wire brushing each till it
is real shinny. Then reconnect good and tite.
If still no-go I would apply 12 volts to the small wire on
the solenoid and see if the motor turns over. Make sure
in NEUTRAL with BRAKES ON.
If still no-go I would apply 12 volts directly to the
starter motor.
If still no-go I would go down to the
starter and
make sure the connections are clean and tight.
If no-go I would suspect the starter.

I have had this problem on two of my Foxes. There is a smaller ground wire that branches off of the ground wire on the battery. That smaller wire is then about 6-10 inches long and bolts to the drivers side fender. That sometimes gets loose and/or coroded.. just a suggestion good luck.
