Well i just got a mustang 02 2nd hand and well... lots of problems. I dont know much about cars so im hoping you guys can help me out a bit. I took it in to the mustang car dealer ship to get some repairs. I still have some problems though. After getting it back from repairs they said my wheel alignment wasnted fixed because of the body frieghtor something? And that i had to take it to a workshop to get it repaired. Also when driving on the freeway i can hear a thudding which is coming from the back around the wheel area [>:].

The car has already been in a accident and im wondering if it was worth buying cause now im thinking of just selling but im gona see if the problems are fixable. Its my first car and i want to make it work but if you have any suggestions let me know before i take it into the shop and get ripped off.

 

Iwould think it's worthwile at this point to at least have it checked and see what is really wrong and what it will cost to fix. If it's really pricey, just don't fix it and try to sell the car for as much as you can in good faith. just my 2 cents

 

I dont know for sure, but how bad was the accident? Was the sub frame tweaked? That could be why they cannot align the front end. Can you explain more in depth what the noise is in the rear? When does it happen, only on one side, speed sensitive?

 

Yeah speed sensetive. Its sounds like it the wheel is loose actualy. Its like tapping sound. Hard to explain.

I did take the car in for a full service at the ford car dealer.
I did that 21check or something. All that is fine cause i know thats what needs to be fixed.

I think the accident was pretty bad. I had to fix the front bumper and replace airbags.Also above the passenger seat looks like blood splatter [:'(].

 

Well how much are you buying it for? Why don't you look for a 40K mile mustang Gt you can easily buy one for 12-14K. I think you don't need the headache and plus if its already messed up then its gonna have problems. So don't get too exited and wait to get something better

 

I wouldn't have bought it in the first placebut now that you already have it you probably should get rid of it.
You say it's your first car? If that's the case,you probably want to drive it instead of work on it.It comes down to money.Get estimates from REPUTABLE shops and repost with the details.There are too many Mustangs out there to get stuck with a money hole.
