Default Turbo leaking oil?

I was at a gas station filling up my Subaru when a passer-by noticed smoke rising from under the hood. The mechanic came out to take a look and told me I was leaking oil and the smoke and smell was it burning off the motor.

I had no oil on the driveway and the Subaru dealer could not find the leak when I brought it in the next day.

I witnessed the smoke and smell myself. Never noticed it before or since. False alarm or should I be concerned? The car has 39,000 miles and is the Forester XT.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I had a turbo trans am and if the seal
goes bad in your turbo unit the oil will go directly
in your intake and be burned off the exhaust.
That was a major drawback of the turbo units.
