Default questions about a problem

i have an 01 GT and recently the #1 spark plug blow in half. Is this caused by the piston coming up and smaking the plug? did it somehow build up to much compression?or are the rod bolts lose?it also stripped the spark plug threads i just want to know if anyone has had this happen and what it would take to fix it.

Compression alone can not damage a sparkplug.
Sounds like You either have installed the wrong
plug or that the piston has loosened from the
crank. Possible the intake swallowed a nut or bolt.

You could have the head of a valve banging around

You can do a fast compression test.

You need a borescope to see inside the cylinder.

tou have to take off the head.

you can use an insert to install a new plug.

This sounds a little out of my league.

Are you loosing any coolant? You may have blown a head gasket and got coolant in the cylinder, liquids can't be compressed, so when the piston comes up the pressure has to go somewhere. I've never heard of a spark plug getting blown out though, you definately need to see inside that cylinder
