well i lost it and cant get the wheel off with out it. the pattern in the key looked similar to the key for the foxbodys stock lug nuts. any suggestions on how i can get my wheels off or on how to order a new key would be greatly appreciated. they are for 18"cobra r's

go to your local dealer with your vin number have them look it up and order the new key.

but they are not my stock rims, how would the dealer know?

If you still have the box that the lock set came in you can call up the company who made it and get another key from them. If you don't, go to your mechanic and have him cut those locks off and get a new set.

if not snap on or macto makes i removable tool you will need an air impact....i dont think you will have enough room to air hammer them out ...are your wheels like mine in my avater???

heh i just delt with tihs problem. Dig EVERY wher in your trunk. look at the crow bar. If you luck out like i did ther is a little envelope that says McGuard and a phone number on it. Give them a call and give them the number on a card. 10 bucks and 7-10 days later.. problem solved. if not then a grinder would do it.. just be damn careful of the threads.

Well, what I had to do is get some of those Stripped Bolt head removers...
Got a hammer and banged it on there nice and good.
Got my breaker bar and twisted those suckers off, if you do go this route DO NOT GET NEW ONES
Why bother, you may just lose the key again
So I'm back to just normal lugnuts

TRY USING A 12 POINT DEEP SOCKET AND BANG IT ON THE LUGNUT AND TRY USING A RATCHET

Ask OB... lol... I actually just did this yesterday when a SC 00 GT came in, i'll post more about it in Off topic. But anyways, the guy bought it from Texas. Brought it up here and wanted me to put new rims and tires on. No key... not even in the FORD master kit. Every FORD dealer "should" have one. lol. Was an after market company. SO i tried the striped bolt socket... didnt work. lol. So i ended up grinding a notch in them and then using an air chizzle. It sucked bad. Im sure it would be even worse if you have Cobra R's without any room to do anytihng with!! lol. good luck. Take OB's advise and DONT get locking lugs ever again!

I got one off with an easy out thingy. The socket with the teeth that point backwards and a 28" breaker bar. You can pick them up at Sears.
