im torn
hey everybody im torn. i dont have my mustang yet but im looking. i cant decide on a early 90s or a 67 mustang. i love the old style 67s but the newer 90s stangs seem like they are easy to build up and they are easier to find parts for. i cant make up my mind. i want to build a good street /strip car. my goal is to get it around the 12 second make eventually. any insight will help . thanks.
Just my opinion, that and a quarter will get ya a phone call....... Go with the car you like the best. The cool part about this hobby is there are parts and suppliers EVERYWHERE. It seems like every part for my '66 is reproduced by somebody. It is my understanding that the the foxbody cars have almost as many reproduced parts so really either one should be an "easy" restore. If you plan to drive it in the winter go with the 90's the early cars just weren't undercoated and they rust really fast. The 90's cars start with more creature features ie AC/Stereo/seatbelts...... and probably need less work right from the start. You should also be able to find an early 90's pretty cheep in fully running condidion. BUT the '67 is way cool.

If you drive it everyday, go with the newer one. If it is a toy, go with the 67.
If it's a toy/fun car, definitely go with the older model-- you'll have so much fun restoring it and it's hard to find a nice restored stang out on the roads. If you're in need of a daily driver, I'd say go for something newer. Did you consider maybe getting one of the 05's? It sorta gives you the best of both worlds.
