Should I get one or not?

Should I get one or not?
Ok I'm planning on getting a new car soon and I'm really feeling an '03/'04 Mustang GT. The thing is my best friend absolutely hates them and Fords and says I will regret it because I will have a lot of problems with them. Is that true, will I have a lot of problems? I would totally love to mod a GT and make it even more badass than I think it is already. I just keep getting told that I wont be able to do anything to it cause I will spend all my time and money repairing it. Should I go for it or think twice? Is there any specific things I should know about ahead of time?

RE: Should I get one or not?
You will probably start having problems at around 125,000
miles. Expect to change exhaust, tires, brakes, by then.
Then you will coast to about 200,000 where the motor will begin
to loose a bit of its pep. By 250,000 it is time to sell.

Is all about what you like. No matter if is a chevy, ford, Honda, etc, all cars will have problems; after all, they are machines. With that in mind, go with what you like. I have an 04 GT and bought it because that was the one i liked!!!

RE: Should I get one or not?
my friend is a GM guy which is probably why. But Fords typically dont have the best reputation for some reason and I'm just wondering why. I would end up getting a GT with pretty low miles (under 60k)but it would have to last me for a while and I would probably go over 100,000 miles at some point. I just want to spend more time modding it then repairing it, ya know
