electric fan wiring, help!
ok, the directions are pretty straight forward. but it is designed to turn the fan on when the a/c goes on. it says i need to hook one of the wires to the "a/c clutch". what is that? in the picture im holding the only wire coming from my a/c pump.....is that the one?
Thats the clutch wire there is only one wire that goes to it.Are you adding an extra fan? If so you want it on all the time dont you or at least when the other fan comes on?
im replacing the belt driven fan with an electric one. the idea is that the fan will be off unless the engine is over 180* or the a/c clutch is activated.
ya i know. the thing that turns the fan on has two different ways/reasons for turning it on.
1. when the engine is at 185*
2. when the a/c is on regardless of what the engine temperater is. if the car is running at 100* and i turn the a/c on, the fan is supposed to turn on. (fyi, the engine will never run at 100, that was just an example)
