Yep A burn-out is just plan old fashion power applid to the drive tires. This is raw horse power at its finest.

The power brake and others are burn-outs with a helping hand. This is normally done so because this is the only way the car could brake the tires loose.

You would only power brake with an automatic. You don't even have enough feet to power brake with a 5 speed.

Oh yeh want to make a bet on that. I used to work for a radiator shop and delivered and picked parts for them. I drove the shop truck an Isuzu pup 5 speed truck. I would do total rollback burnouts and I would also powerbrake it at times. To powerbrake I would drop the clutch floor it and hit the brake as fast as I could It would sit there and smoke the rear tires LOL. I beat the hell out of that truck for over 9 months and it never broke down. I hated that truck and thought if it broke they would buy a new one. Oh it was still running strong when I quit. Talk about abusing shop equipment.

Ya forgot the industry standard for the term. Static lock. Or stall test. lol.

A 5 spd can do the good old fashioned power brake, its not hard if the rear brakes are set kinda lose. Its not as simple or easy as with an auto, but it can be done. Stop by I can give you a demonstration...
