It will take a bit more effort for him to advanve the timing though.

that only works on the ones with a certain spoiler (99/00 i think only, i think other years came with the different one). i did that on my old 99. it looked better from the side, but it leaves a 'ring' where you moved the spoiler from, i dont know if they have any suggestions on cleaning that up here but if not i'd stay away from it.

 

how many of those actually make your car faster?

 

Make sure the car is well maintained and is clean(at least waxed). If you want more performance the best thing would proably be a programmer, esp if you have an auto. Thats not really cheap, but you getone or two good things or you can spend your money cluttering up the car with cheaper things( neon lights, what the hell?)stuck here and there.
