hello everybody! i'm still pretty new to the mustang tech scene, so i need some of your expertise. the t-5 in my 89 gt is starting to go out and i would like to know if the t-5 out of the 2.3L's would work fine as a DD? i have hardly any mods and it's going to remain that way until i get some more funds, or until i graduate college. i have access to alot of 2.3L's for cheap, but no 5.0's : ( any help is greatly appreciated. also, would an ecu out of a v8 t-bird work in my gt?

 

a t5 is a t5 no matter what it comes out of it will fit

 

that works for me. it's just that i've heard some people say that they don't last as long. are the gear ratios any different?
