Lowered 02 V6 Vert - AWESOME
THANK YOU - RyanQuick6
After doing a search on Mustang Forum for ways to lower my 2002 V6 Vert, I came across Ryan's post on How To Lower by Cutting the Springs. I was one of the easiest and most dynamitic free mods that I have made to the car. My son and I started late afternoon Saturday and finished the front in less than 2 hours with very simple tools. The first corner took the longest. We removed (cut) one complete coil from the bottom of the stock springs. We slid the protecting insulator down the spring, made the cut and slid it back in place. And the stance is perfect. It lowered it between 1" to 1.5".Plus, the ride GREAT.
THANKS RyanQuick6
However, after removing the rear wheels, I decided not to lower the back. I had a concern because the botom of the spring had a smaller diameter coil and the top of the spring was flat. Cutting either end could cause a problem.
But with the front lowered and the back not, givesmy 2002 V6 Vert car an AWESOME stance. Mustang Forum is a great resource for a newbie (after searching through the 70% of people BS'ing - Blowing Smoke)
Thanks RyanQuick6.
