my third to second gear
i have a 2000 gtwhen i go from 3rd to secondto use the gears to slow down....it like grinds the gear....it is a hurst short throw shifter...some one told me that theshifter might not be adjusted...what do u think

theres absolutley nothing wrong with downshifting when done correctly. Most likely the OP was just taking it out of 3rd putting it in second and letting out the clutch which is bad. You have to blip the throttle just before you let out the clutch to try to match the rpm you will be at in the lower gear which will make your downshifts smooth
As long as you match your revs perfectly, its not a real problem. Just make sure you have the stops adjusted properly on the shifter. I used to always shift to 2nd when I had my stock gearing but now with 4.10s, I can casualy shift to 3rd when pulling onto my street without exceeding 2k.
but if your going say like 40 u dont wanna shift into first with the clutch in right? I think it will mess up your synchro. I cant even shift mine into first unless im going like 5mph.
