how do you remove the door panels on a 99-04 mustang? my buddys window is screwed up and we gotta check and see whats wrong.

the pieces on the door that have all the switches in them will pry off and there are a couple of screws behind there that will need to be taken out, and then the tweeter behind the mirror needs to be taken off(pop cover of, unscrew, pull out) and then the whole door panel pretty much just lifts off. but even after that is off, there is a layer of plastic that you need to carefully pull off. when the panel is off, it is still very hard to work with the window motor and everything becuase of the actual frame of the door. but you can work with it a little more this way than with the panel on.

on th inside of the door near the hinge, you will see a circular clip, remove this clip, then grab bottom of door and kank upwards, it should pop straight up. Make sure not to pull too hard becasue you don't want to take the door lever with it lol. Getting it back on is a little tricky getting all the tabs to line up but isnt impossible.

oh and pull out hte piece of trim where your switch es are and disconnec them from the piece of trim. Its a couple of little phillips screws I believe.
