Default threw a rod out the oil pan........381 stroker

So last week i took the stang for a ride before i left for a week vacation, and it puked a rod out the oil pan at 4500 rpm's in second gear under WOT. Now i get to pull it out and apart, and see what the previous owner actually used for parts in this thing, and why it broke. He gave me an impressive list of parts for it, and then it brakes 150 miles after i buy it. Dont get me wrong, it ran great, pulled like a freight train, and had good oil pressure, and made no noise at all before it popped. Some how i don't think he spent much money on the rods.

i havent pulled it apart yet, but i can tell you that i would be happy as hell no matter what it was if it didnt screw up the crank or the block. Rods and pistons are cheap to replace.
