WHY YOU DO NOT GO TO JIFFY LUBE
I hate Jiffy Lube and here are more reasons why you DO NOT go to Jiffy Lube or other shops that are run by NON-CERTIFIED MECHANICS [:@]

bout time someone got it on tape...i never trust mechanics anyways. EVERY time you go in for something as simple as an oil change theres about 10 things they can 'find wrong' with your car (that arent screwed up in the first place). mechanics are just as crooked as used car salesmen.
I'd never trust a jiffy lube because I used to work at a shop right down the road from a jiffy lube and 2 times we had customers drift in because there motors locked up because they forgot to put oil filter on. You'd of thought they realized that when all the oil came shooting out when they started the car up.
I didn't even realize jiffy lube did anything besides oil changes.

Not all mechanics and shops are crooked though, but it's prolly fair to say that a substantial portion, if not the majority are. I used to work for a shop and we would often find things wrong with someone's car when they came in for a simple oil change or tranny fluid change etc(cuz most people don't maintain their vehicles properly), but didn't wanna pay cuz they felt we were trying to scam them. So they'd keep driving around with tore up c-v joints, or bad brakes etc, till it got worse and they had to get it fixed. But even the little Jiffy Lube around here often forgets to put the oil drain plug back in, tighten the filter, sometimes they do a tranny fluid change and forget to put a transmission filter in. The sad thing is that ever since the first steam powered automobiles with rudder handle steering and wooden spoked ox cart wheels started driving around, there's been some snake oil peddlers that have found ways to rip off anyone they can
There are CERTIFIED MECHANICS that are trust worthy. Those are the mechanics that actually SHOW you the part/parts that are not holding well and explain why. You can always ask them to show you. If they say NO then go elsewhere.
Jiffy Lube, Expres Lube employ NON-CERTIFIED MECHANICS. Why would you want to go there for even an oil change
p.s. Foward that link to other web-sites. It's about time we shut that places like thatdown. I don't like seeing people not-employed or fired, but if that's what Jiffy Lube is up to then they don't deserved to be employed. I mean cmon now 5 out of 9 shops. That's well over 50%. If it were lets say 20% or below I wouldn't of thought of typing this part.
Peace

The first and last time I went to Jiffy Lube (about 6 years ago, w/ my wife's Accord), when I got home I noticed a little oil drip under the car. They had not tightened the oil filter! Luckily I found this in time, and had only lost a quart of oil. I called them and gave them hell and never went back.

I just got mystang inspected and oil change done by these guys last month. I stood there and watched them through every step. They kept trying to upsell me on oil even though i had recently had the FORD DEALERSHIP write the correct oil weight and qt. amount on the information plate so there would never be confusion. They gave me that line about fuel filters and air filters too after they changed the oil, which i made sure they put on a new filter. I own a K&N filter so ofcourse i don't need a new one and the fuel filter thing had to be a joke...... after experiencing that I might as well change this stuff myself from now on. That video was right on the money.
