Default alignment issues

i had some 18 x 9 rims with 165/35/18's put on last week, after they were put on i could tell the front end was bad out of align...... i had it aligned but the guy told me it is still a bit out, anybody had problems with aligning with just having tires put on ?

are you on 3.8mustang? your car looks very familiar....

well anyways iam putting on wheels on soon. you think i should get an alignment right after? or do alignment from the springs first and then put on the wheels?

I put 17x9 wheels in the front and 17x11 wheels in the back. I thought mine was out of alignment too but i got it checked and the guy said i didnt need an alignment, he showed me the paper work to prove it, and i got it checked a couple times to make sure. It will feel weird at first because of the wider wheels. You grab more of the road than you would with stock wheels but you'll get used to it after a while and it will eventually go away. Your wheel might pull and turn right or left a little bit but I wouldnt worry about it. After a while it just went away the front is where you feel it tho, but its just becuz you have wider wheels and tires.

yep i'm on 3.8

and for some reason mine wouldnt align properly, i have the print out from when they had it on the machine.... it wasnt off by much but it was off ( this was after the alignment )

the front left camber is at - 1.7 and the sheet says specified range -1.3 to .3 so its off by -.4 degrees for some reason.......

did you do any suspension work? if not it could be that you have a tired spring on the front left. Measure each side from the ground to the highest point of your fender. Should be the exact same if your on a level plane and your air pressure is the same.

The tires could be out of balance from the tire shop. Or it could be that the car will need an alignment. Testing it by driving straight
does the car pull to one side. Have you done any suspension upgrades recently.

if the shop can't get it into alignment, you need CC (caster/camber) plates.. check stang suspension.. your gonna need them anyway when you put the ford springs on...
