I just bought my 92 LX two days ago. Of course it had yellow lenses. Yellowing comes with age. My 94 Mazda MX6 has the same affliction. Today I spent an hour cleaning one side. The problem is mainly yellowing and chipping factory clearcoat. I started with a 3M Scotchbrite pad and got the clearcoat off. Followed with gentle 600 grit wet-or-dry sandpaper *with generous amounts of clean water***, repeat with 1000 then 1500 then 2000 grit paper, and finally polishing compound. It works better IMHO than any cream or paste could, and the results last longer.

Or go cheaper yet and get some colgate toothpaste, put it on, leave it a few minutes and wipe it off... looks good as new

I've heard Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish does a great job, I've been meaning to try it on mine.

Actually, Iused "5 Minute HEADLAMP Lens Restorer" bought at local autozone on my Niece's 95 Stang that had severely yellowed headlamps
it's about $12 a box and seemed to do a reasonable job, the lenses are now clear!
Package comes with 6 pads, I used 3 pads total on her car... 1st one got destroyed by the "nobbly bits" on the lens itself... after that I was much more careful not to rip up the foam pad
