Default theft prevention

I have a 94 mustang gt and am trying to prevent people from stealing my car as easily as the first one. I was wondering if there was a way to prevent people from starting the car by dropping the clutch after pushing it?

best way to prevent theft is get a bad *** alrm. thats ll you can really do. if they know what they are doing, even the pats key system wont stop them. so short of a gun, your sol. BUT i have a phython car alarm system, this thing is sick. tells me whenever something touches my car, tells me where they are breaking in all kinds of stuff. for 200 best alrm money can buy. BUT it still wont stop someone if they are commited

EDIT: you can also get a clubman, they would have to cut the bitch off the wheel to steel the car

Any kind of prevention setup either a full alarm or just a switch that kills the ignition system will prevent a car from being push started.

IMO The "best" type of car anti-theft is the one that allows the the car to be started & driven off, but "kills" the engine within 1/2 mile away. That way the thief is out in the middle of traffic with a dead stolen car.. he has no choice but to bail out &run.

good idea...is there such a thing tho?

i wouldnt go with a club most car thieves can take that thing off in a matter of seconds. i would get one of those steering wheel remover things instead if your really conscious about it.

I do have an alarm that tells me when people are near my car and the like. I also have a sitch under my shifter boot that works on the clutch contact switch. But I still don't have something that wouldkeep them from dropping it into gear and taking it. I was thinking, if I put a relay to my mallory ignition box power supplyfromthe battery, they wouldn't be able to get the motor firing right? If this would work, I might try this approach, since it deals with only a 12 volt supply.

the best measure is a fuel pump cut off with a locking switch in a remote location, or a fuel pump turn on "key"... no fuel, no go anywhere
