Default Window Switch

The passenger window on my 93 GT just decided to stop working a couple days ago. I pulled out the motor and put jumper wires to it and it still runs fine. Does that mean the window switch is bad or is something else going on. By the way the driver rolls up and down fine.

will the window not go up/down with both the drivers and passenger side switches? that should tell you if the switch is bad or not. if it still goes up when you put power to it then it is more than likely the switch or some wiring in between the motor and the switch.

It wont go up with either of the switches but it just randomly stopped working so i'm not sure if its wiring. Could the motor be good enuf to spin without the load of the window or does it matter.

from what i found out with all the window problems in my car that the motor can rotate without load but still not be able to push the window up. the way the inside of the motor works, there are like 3 little plastic nuts that usually deteriorate over time. so with no pressure on the motor, it will freely spin but with a load then it wont push the window up. see if you can keep the motor in the window and then put the jump wires on it and see if it will roll up then. the windows can be a PITA to figure out what is wrong with.
