hey, my 91 5.0 is overheating when i floor it. for a daily driver it does fine as long as i don't run it hard. it has the be-cool duel fan on a 3 core radiator and a 16psi cap. after i floor it and when i check under the hood i can see that coolant was spraying around thecap. and after i refill the portion of what has sprayed out the car runs cool again. any ideas?

 

o yea i also have a 180 thermostat and it starts to overheat a couple seconds after i run the car, 15-20 sec, and slowly keeps on rising untill i shut the car down.

 

Is it leaking anywhere else other then rising up through the cap. If not try a different cap.

 

yea i just put a new radiator cap without the vent release thing on. its 16psi and so far its holding up and the car hasn't overheated. i will floor it tommaorw and test it.
