gear/diff. pricing
hey, quick questions on gears/differential. I want to get 3.73/4.10 gears for mycar, and maybe a new tlok (i have open right now, stock). v6mustangstuff and mustangtuning both advertise the stuff for seemingly low prices...whats a normal price to expect for things like those? plus, are motive gears any good? i was under the impression that frpp are among th e best, but im seeing this other brand around as well.

RE: gear/diff. pricing
FRPP are some of the best gears and require little shimming. Motive gears are good but typically require a lot more shimming, and carrier shims can get expensive if you need them. Spend the extra and get the Ford gears. You will need a notched cross over pin to if you are going to run 4.10 in your V6 rearend. You can notch the stock one but if you are going to replace all the stuff in the rearend why skimp?
